In a blatant continuation of its divisive and destructive policies, the “Port Sudan gang,” comprising the co-opted leadership of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and their minders from the terrorist Islamic Movement, has escalated its efforts to fracture Sudanese society by weaponizing education to advance its narrow, exclusionary political agenda. In a move that stands without precedent in Sudan's modern history — akin only to the colonial-era “closed areas” policy designed to marginalize entire regions — the regime has announced that secondary school examinations will be conducted in certain areas, while deliberately excluding the rest of the nation. This egregious decision not only exposes the regime’s malicious intent, but also underscores its gross irresponsibility and its total disregard for the future of hundreds of thousands of Sudanese students nationwide.
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) categorically rejects these deliberate, discriminatory actions perpetrated by this criminal and terrorist regime in Port Sudan. Their actions are not only illegitimate but are an outright assault on the future of Sudan. This corrupt and authoritarian faction, which has no moral or political legitimacy, is gambling with the lives of Sudanese citizens in pursuit of the delusional ambitions of Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, a fugitive general — one who abandoned his legitimacy the day he betrayed the Sudanese revolution and its people.
The RSF fully recognizes the gravity of the situation facing Sudan today — a moment in our history defined by a dangerous absence of political rationality and the deliberate erosion of national unity. At this critical juncture, we are prepared to shoulder the responsibility of reversing this disastrous course. To our beloved people of Sudan, especially young students and their families, we offer an unwavering commitment: their right to education will be protected, in full accordance with both national and international law. We will take every necessary measure to ensure that these rights are not only preserved but actively restored, facilitating the return of students to their rightful educational institutions. Postponed exams will be rescheduled and conducted in a manner that is fair, transparent, and inclusive for all students — regardless of their region, ethnicity, or political affiliation.
We stand firm in our commitment to education as a unifying force — an instrument of national cohesion, peace, and progress for all Sudanese people. The RSF rejects the exclusionary and oppressive policies of the past that have long sought to undermine our educational system and divide our nation. The remnants of the failed former regime and its patrons from the terrorist Islamic Movement will be dismantled, and Sudan will be rebuilt on the foundations of justice, equality, democracy, and inclusivity for all its citizens. The era of injustice, marginalization, and division is over. A new Sudan will emerge — one that affirms the dignity, rights, and aspirations of every Sudanese.
